Health & Safety Management Structure

NWC’s Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) group is responsible for maintaining and improving workplace health and safety programs. Our EHS structure includes:

  • Global EHS Director: Provides strategic oversight and ensures alignment with global best practices.
  • Regional EHS Managers: Act as high-level advisors, identifying best practices and overseeing the adoption of strategic EHS initiatives in line with applicable legislative requirements.
  • Site-based EHS Managers, Engineers, and Coordinators: Directly responsible for implementing and managing EHS programs at each NWC site.

This structure ensures effective promotion and awareness of EHS directives, strategic initiatives, and legal obligations across all levels of the organization.

Health & Safety Policy

NWC’s Health & Safety Policy is founded on the identification, control, and, where possible, elimination of risks to individuals and the environment. This policy provides a framework for setting occupational health and safety objectives, developed in consultation with workers, to ensure continual improvement in health and safety performance.

Compliance with Legislation

Compliance with health and safety legislation is critical to our global operations. NWC adheres to the laws of the jurisdictions in which we operate, including:

  • Health and Safety Executive (UK sites)
  • Occupational Safety and Health Administration (US sites)
  • Ministry of Human Resources & Emiratisation (UAE – Dubai site)

We maintain membership in professional bodies such as the British Safety Council, British Standards Institution, Institute of Environmental Management and Assessment in the UK, the US National Safety Council, and the US National Fire Protection Association. These memberships provide valuable resources and support to stay up-to-date with evolving legislation and global best practices.
